Tika von Mehren
Tika von Mehren grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and attended Temple University. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, studying costume design under the direction of Marie Ann Chiment and Jennielynn Streed. In 2014, she studied abroad at the London College of Fashion and created footwear, millenery and clothing design. During her time at Temple, Tika worked as an assistant designer and wardrobe assistant on Temple University’s theatrical productions, served as an Executive Producer on Temple Smash, a comedy sketch show and costume designed the 2014 Philadelphia FringeArts show, Oedipus the Musical.
After graduation, Tika left for Los Angeles. Her recent credits include a wardrobe assistant on the TNT crime drama, Major Crimes and costumer for I’m Not Here, a film written and directed by Michelle Schumacher and starring Academy Award-winner J.K. Simmons. Tika just completed designing her first feature film, M.F.A which was directed by Natalia Leite and is currently working on a web series.
